just checked back – she was 8 and 3/4 mos pregnant!! No mention of difficulty breathing, back aches or varicose veins from her…. maybe we should go back to partying our way through pregnancy!

Only you could make having lyme disease into such a funny post – I laughed out loud imagining our wimpy ancestors. forgot to notice the date – was she hugely pregnant partying until 1am?? God bless her.

Wow, that is great!!! Can you imagine a day like that, with all those interesting people in it? The sad thing is that when we moved to Rye, there were no longer those people-filled days and nights. No wonder grandma always wanted to move back to NYC! It’s fascinating to learn how far we’ve really come in terms of labor laws and things like that. I’m not sure who Binnie was, but she might have been a former girlfriend of grandpa’s, who chewed gum all the time and was able to park it somewhere in her mouth so that you didn’t always know she had it there. Grampa hated gum.
There is so much truth to what you say about Peter and h is background — tough people in the best sense of the word and great work ethic. Anyway, thanks for great reading and entertainment! Moi
